An OFW's struggle

Being an OFW is really hard. You got to make a lot of sacrifices in order to bring a better future for your family. I myself have relatives that is working in Canada and Saudi. At first it's really hard for them to adjust but from time to time, they learned how to stand up and blend in with their new life.

According to the article "Tears and joys of overseas life in OFW blogs" By an OFW named Ellen Tordesillas, OFWs should be shown with care and respect by other foreigners she worked for. This has shown hopes for our fellow countrymen that they should stand up on their knees and be recognizable for who they are. She is also persuading other journalists such as her to make each OFW a legitimate stories that will surely thought the struggle in the outside world and help those who are surely in needed.

A struggle of our OFWs is surely a lesson for each and everyone of us. They might be treated and abused but as usual, we always pray for them to be in good hands. According to the article "Over 3,000 OFWS jailed, 800 others arrived home dead" By Michaela Del C allar, the DFA or Deparment of Foreign Affairs reproted that over 3,000 OFWs are in jail last year and 800 more have died. Surely this is very sad as we know that this Fili[pino workers just want to have a better life than being miserable an thatb is why they find a new life in other countries, yet the are the ones who gets accused and being shouted at for being who they are. Some countries like China treated Filipinos as a "slave" even at the time of the Spaniard's colonization here in the Philippines. What they don't realize is that most immigrants in our country are mostly chinese, their own countrymen themselves! I just hate it when some foreigners treated us like dogs and being abused and shouted at, it just ain't right.

Overseas Filipino Workers have been called as our new heroes today because of the money they produce into our economy.  They need to be treated humanely and respectfully in the places where they work outside our country. They work without complaints. They perform great and undeniable expectations. . Make no mistake however that they are also humans who loves their families and they have families whose hearts grieve for them as well.  In defense of all our OFWs, they shouldn't be blamed for proving that Filipinos are a force to be reckon with in work and in pride.
